Stone Cali-Belgique IPA

As you may already know, Stone is probably one of my favorite craft beer companies and is the maker of my current favorite beer. I have passed by this beer a few times in the stores, but always ended up grabbing another beer. Tonight, Lindsey made the final call to grab it - and boy, am I happy. I didn’t really know what the Cali-Begique title meant, I just thought it was a cool name, but I soon read on the bottle that it is a cross between a Californian IPA and Belgian ale. I truly love this beer. It has such an incredible flavor. It has the perfect amount of hops with the infused brut of Belgian ale. It is crisp to the taste and even has hints of orange as you swallow your sip. This beer is crisp, cool and light enough to have many while still retaining that wonderful hoppy flavor of an IPA. The color of the beer is a beautiful orange with a hop head to match. It’s not completely see through, but also not completely opaque. Lindsey says this beer is high on her list of best IPA’s she’s tried. She said, “the stubble underlying layer of fruit triggers a tasty sensation she isn’t use to in most stronger beers”. I think we will both be grabbing another bottle of this on our next trip to the store. Another A+ for Stone Brewing.
